Dell Powerconnect 5548P Switch Managed 48 x 10/100/1000 (Poe) + 2 x Sfp+ desktop rack-mountable PoE

The Dell PowerConnect 5548P is a 48 port Gigabit network switch. Designed to be easily stacked with other switches, the Dell 5548P can be stacked through 10GbE interfaces and the switch supports uplinking through 10Gb ports. With the stacking ports easily available, it is designed to support multiple switches to allow a network to grow with the company itself.

The Dell PowerConnect 5548P is a power over Ethernet capable switch, perfect for data and voice converged networks. The Dell switch supports full IEEE 802.3af power of 15.4 watts to the switch's ports.

The Dell PowerConnect 5548P supports advanced features such as USB configuration for rapidly deploying the switches. For backup redundancy, the switch has support for two firmware images can be loaded on-board. The switch can be stacked by HDMI or SFP ports. Up to eight 5500 series switches can be stacked together to function as a single unit.

The Dell 5548P provides a total switch fabric capacity of 128.0 Gbps and a forwarding rate of 65.47 Mpps. Up to 16, 000 MAC address entries can be handled by the switch. The Dell PowerConnect 5548P is rack mountable and supports SSL 3.0 encryption as well as SSHv2. The switch can support up to 32 link aggregated ports per switch and up to 8 member ports per aggregated link. The switch supports jumbo frames at up to 9, 000 bytes and has native LACP support.

The switch has an integrated CPU with 256 Mb of SDRAM, 16 Mb of flash memory, and 12 Mb of packet buffer memory. It is designed to operate at temperatures between 0ºC and 40ºC.
