The beautiful house was built in 1897 according to the design of architect Karl Johann Felsko. Blaumaņa Residence is considered to be one of the best works of the leading architect of the 19th century Karl Felsko, who lived and created his works at the time of change in arts.

The buildings designed by him are notable for their detailed façade elements – cornices, banisters, and volutes made in traditional style. Renovation works are currently ongoing in the house.
